3 Ways to Grow your FAITH in God

Lately I have been feeling SO close to GOD. I can’t put it into words, but I can tell you with certainty that our Father is real, loving and merciful. He has demonstrated day after day that He will never leave me (us) alone; that He walks with me (us).

Since I can remember, I have been a believer. Yet, I admit that it wasn’t until recently that I truly felt God’s presence in my life at its full potential. He helped me fight the most painful and traumatic battle of my life. He didn’t just do that, He also lifted me up, filled me with His peace, and walked with me to the hospital and stayed for my recovery.

Now, He is still here!

Our Father is helping me heal and has allowed me the opportunity to share with you His love for US.

I titled this post 3 ways to grow your faith, because I believe that we should start our relationship with God by establishing a good foundation. And that’s exactly what I intend to do here, with you. I want you to accompany me in this journey, as we grow closer and deeper into Jesus Heart and Holy Spirit.

3 Ways to Grow your Faith

1.Bible – Get to know HIM.

Get to know GOD through His Word. Here are 3 ways you can grow your Faith in God, our Father.

What a powerful way to start building our relationship with our Father! His WORD! It’s never too late to get a Bible and start digging into it.

I started not that long ago, and the experience has been rewarding. I have learned about our Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. It has allowed me to establish a deeper bond with our Father because I know Him more.

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

I encourage all of you to pick up the bible and read a few chapters a day. Read it, analyze it and once you are done, PRAY. Let that moment be a teaching experience, were our Father will teach you about Him and guide you towards your life purpose.

There and then your faith will grow like a beautiful, abundant and fruitful tree.

If you haven’t checked my blog post “2 Christian Books that will change your Life Forever“, I encourage you to do so. There I talk about 2 books that help you walk with God and find His purpose for you! Click here.

2.Church – Community.

Going to church is essential. Church is not just a building where you have to go just to keep an appearance in society. A church is the house of God, in where communities of believers go to learn from God, receive His Spirit and pray for our Father’s mercy and grace.

Unfortunately, we live in a society that, more often than not, can criticize and generalize everything and anything related to a church.

Do not let that keep you from the Word of God! God is not a religion. God loves and wants us all, not just a few.

Our Father wants us to belong to a church family, because we are meant to help each other, grow the church and our faith together, and continue spreading the Good News. Don’t believe me yet? Let’s look at the word of God.

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more you see the Day approaching.”

Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all the wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”

Listen to the Word of the Father. Here are 3 Ways to Grow your Faith in Him.

3.Life – God’s gift to all of us.

Our lives are the greatest proof that God exists and loves us. There is no greater love than the one that comes from our Father. So much so, that He created us, gave us purpose and sacrificed His son so that we may share eternity with Him and in Him.

Really, pay attention to who we are. Yes, we are sinners but beyond that notice how perfectly imperfect God created us. He gave us so much potential and talents. He built our complex body and brain, with the ability to do good and fulfill God’s purpose on Earth.

Do not take it for granted.

I believe that growing your faith should go hand in hand with recognizing and acknowledging everything that God created FOR US.

Our Father is real, loving and merciful. Here are 3 ways that you can increase your faith in Him.

Notice the wonderful things that God has given you: the sun, rain, moon and stars, the day and the night, mountains, trees and flowers, animals and a world filled with beautiful landscapes, and so much more. I can go on and on because there is no end to the things that our Father created for us. He is perfect.

Read the Bible, gather together as the Church of God, and be grateful for the wonderful gift of God, Life. That is your foundation! Your faith will grow like never before. Your life will change, and your life’s purpose will be given to you.

This is such a beautiful reminder of God’s love and care. It always amazes me that I still have His love and support in spite of how I am.
This reading was really special to me. All the very best.

Thank you! God is amazing! He is with us every second of our lives, even when we turn our back to Him. That’s why it is so important to me to keep building my faith in Him. 🙂
      Blessings, Joleisa!

Beautifully said! What a wonderful place this world would be if only everyone could do these three things! Keep talking and maybe people will listen. Even if you only touch one person, he or she is one of God’s children. Bless you!

Hi Jill! Thank you for your comment. I really hope my posts can get to people. There is no greater joy than to share how wonderful our Father is. Blessings!

Wonderful post, thanks for sharing openly about your faith. I’ve had many times in my life where I know without a doubt that God is speaking to me or doing something. However, how quickly we forget and just go about our day forgetting about Him. I feel like I want constant proof and constant experiences, but you’re right that everything about every day is all from him, even what we take for granted as mundane is really spectacular.

Thank you for your comment, Holly! I love talking about God, and how merciful and wonderful He has been with me (us). I felt exactly the same way… I was always looking for huge experiences to solidify my faith but then, I was finally able to see and hear. Even the smallest things count. 🙂 Blessings!

This was a beautiful read. Though I pray daily (multiple times on many days), it can be harder to feel Gods presence sometimes though he is always there. It is important to put him first in our lives and to better understand him by reading the bible (his message), and in a community form such as church is a great constant reminder.

    • Jennifer

Hi Marie! Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. More often than not we let our Earthly possessions and situations cloud our mind and heart. That is when we think God is not with us, when we know He never abandon His children. Praying and reading the Bible helps me clear my mind and find my purpose again. Blessings!
